My First Class was Economy

Clouds dodging past
an eagle with quivering wings
Sigh ,look away,rue-
A childhood of bird gazing later
does a wish become a whisper-
Wish I'd fly like a bird
Fortune fished me a seat by
the window to real freedom
Body strapped to the chair
Legs revolting within an inch
Gaze limited to TV screen
Voice held down to feeble
murmur,visit to the toilet
an elaborate ritual
Lipstick dabbed lips of
attendants smiling
curt,scheduled smiles.
You take to the promising
skies to land yourself
in a packed ,pressurised prison
hissing through the heavens.
